STARS FIRST, SUN LAST - BUT NOT LEAST
A Luxury Desert Expedition to the Meteors, the Milky Way and the Total Solar Eclipse

Egypt Solar Eclipse 2027
27 July – 3 August 2027

This journey begins under a dark desert sky and ends beneath a darkened sun. Combining world-famous archaeological treasures with some of Egypt's most remote desert landscapes, it is a carefully designed expedition built around two of the rarest events the sky has to offer.

Around 30–31 July, the Southern Delta Aquariids and Alpha Capricornids are both active. Under the dark Egyptian desert sky, you may see meteors and occasional bright fireballs alongside the Milky Way and the summer night sky.

This itinerary includes the same exclusive experiences as our original Luxury Desert Expedition, but follows a different sequence. Rather than travelling into the desert after the eclipse, you begin your adventure among Egypt's spectacular natural landscapes before ending the journey with the eclipse in the tranquil surroundings of Bahariya Oasis. The result is a relaxed travel rhythm that balances cultural discovery, wilderness and comfort.

The journey culminates on 2 August 2027 with the Total Solar Eclipse — the longest total eclipse visible on land during our lifetime, with an extraordinary 6 minutes and 24 seconds of totality.

Throughout the journey you travel in modern air-conditioned vehicles. Complimentary bottled drinking water is available at all times, and transfer days have been carefully planned to avoid unnecessarily long drives, allowing plenty of opportunities to enjoy the changing landscapes along the way.
